The security-compliance platforms are good at what they do. They automate evidence collection, monitor controls, and shepherd companies to SOC 2 and ISO certifications. They are built — and priced — for companies with a security budget, a person to own the tool, and an enterprise sales motion to justify both.
That's not most businesses. Most businesses are a restaurant whose card processor keeps billing a non-compliance fee. A construction company whose lender wants a security questionnaire before releasing the draw. A one-person consultancy whose biggest client just asked for a written security policy that doesn't exist. They don't want a badge. They want the paperwork answered — truthfully, this week.
Vouchra started as an internal tool at a managed-IT firm, built because answering clients' security questionnaires by hand was slow and — done carelessly — dangerous. The design decisions came from that liability, not from a pitch deck: every answer must cite a source; an answer without a source is a flagged gap, never a guess; a human reviews everything; the client signs off on the record. We productized the discipline, not just the speed.
